During January, the Sampler Series festival will be hosting two new concerts in different locations in Barcelona. This Saturday 13 January at 20.00 at Fundació Antoni Tàpies with the percussion quartet Frames and the string ensemble Funktion who will present a selection of works by Alvin Lucier, for a range of instrumental and electronic devices, which show the exploration that the North American artist carries out of the auditive perception and physical properties of sound through different acoustic and psychoacoustic phenomenon’s.

The second concert of this month will be hosted at the Auditori Meier of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona (MACBA) on January 19 at 19.00, led by Alvin Lucier. The documentary ‘No Ideas But in Things’ will also be shown, by Viola Rusche and Hauke Harder, to delve deeper into the world of Lucier through their work.
