Ethics, Humanism and AI are the key topics in a new Working Group organised by the Banco Sabadell Foundation
Portada Grupo Motor

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents a structural change with a direct impact on society. The Banco Sabadell Foundation promotes a shared reflection among entities within its ecosystem on the limits, opportunities, and principles that should guide their actions.

• This Working Group is established within The Culture around Talent Lab, the Banco Sabadell Foundation’s innovation lab that brings together leaders from ecosystem entities to build shared perspectives on some of the biggest challenges facing the future.

The Banco Sabadell Foundation once again brings together leaders and flagship entities of its ecosystem for a new meeting of The Culture around Talent Lab, the innovation lab where it creates spaces for reflection and collaboration to address some of the challenges of the future. On this occasion, it is a new Working Group, formed by leaders of entities that work to promote talent in our country, to reflect together on one of the biggest challenges of today: which principles should we promote to ensure the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

The meeting was held at the Welcome Hub and Banco Sabadell’s BStartUp Hub in Barcelona, with over twenty representatives and leaders of entities from the worlds of culture, education, society and innovation coming together to build a shared perspective on how to support this transformation from an ethical, critical, and humanistic viewpoint.

Through listening, collective exploration, and synthesis techniques, moderated by Salto con Red, participants identified opportunities, limits, alliances, and voices in relation to the impact of AI. Beyond technological analysis, the session highlighted a fundamental question: how can we ensure that this transformation contributes to the development of people and the common good. At a time when artificial intelligence is advancing at great speed, participants agreed on the need to broaden their outlooks and ask not only what AI can do, but also what world we want to build and which decisions we should make as a society.

“At a time when there’s a lot of talk about what artificial intelligence can do, it is important not to lose sight of an essential question: what do we want to remain profoundly human?”. Sonia Mulero, Director of the Banco Sabadell Foundation.

Sonia Mulero, Director of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, underscored: “At a time when there’s a lot of talk about what artificial intelligence can do, it is important not to lose sight of an essential question: what do we want to remain profoundly human? Spaces such as this one allow us to think together, listen to different perspectives, and build a shared understanding to ensure that this technological transformation is at the service of people and the common good”.
