This weekend Barcelona will move to the rhythm of independent music once again with the Cara-B Festival. After its successful first edition, this year the festival returns with 13 exciting contributions from the Catalan and Spanish music scenes, including bands such as: Guadalupe Plata, Los Punsetes, Yung Beef (PXXR GVNG), Extraperlo, The Parrots, Betunizer, Le Parody, El Coleta, Beach Beach, beGun dj set, Sen Senra, The Saurs and Baywaves.
The Banco Sabadell Foundation collaborates with and supports this festival to promote musical culture. The days of underground music (Días de música underground) which takes place at the Fábrica Fabra y Coats in Barcelona, aims to attract very diverse artists and musical genres such as as rock, pop, garage, electronic and rap. It also gives an overview of the artistic tendencies and genres that thrive to the beat of musical independence.
These musical acts are currently setting the independent music scene on fire, and through their live performances a retrospective competition will also be held to rate the best music videos from 2015, and there will be an exhibition showing a visual representation of underground music. Cara-B 2016 promises to be an all-inclusive project, which seeks to celebrate, promote and share the talent hidden behind the radio.
