The Joan Guinjoan International Prize for Young Composers, awarded by the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) awards in its 18th edition the Chilean composer Camilo Roca for his work Insectarium, an original composition that describes a musical universe delimited by the sound analysis of the activity of different species of insects. The award will be held on September 29 at 7.30pm. The jury of this eighteenth edition of the contest has been composed of the composers Raquel García Tomás, Bernat Vivancos, Josep Rio-Pareja, Felix Pastor and Eduard Resina. This edition has featured 63 works by 57 composers and composers from 27 countries.
