More than 100 students from the International Programme of Dance IBStage will share the stage with some of the most prestigious figures in the world of dance, at two galas which will be held on 1 and 2 September at Teatre Grec de Barcelona at 21:30, where they will perform ‘Sleeping Beauty’ choreographed by Marius Petipa, adapted by Xiomara Reyes and Elías García, artistic directors of IBStage.
The IBStage Galas stand out, as they are where the most important figures from the most prestigious dance companies in the world perform some of the most emblematic works in the classical genre, such as renowned neoclassical and contemporary choreographies, together with talented young dancers.
During 15 days, more than 160 young ballet dances from ballet schools in Spain, United States, Japan or Italy, amongst others, have participated in IBStage, receiving classes to perfect their techniques with the support of renowned professionals such as Larissa Lezhnina from HET National Ballet, Ana María Prina from Teatro Alla Scala de Milan, Bella Ratchinskaia from Vienna Opera, Samira Saidi artistic director of the English National Ballet, and Pompea Santoro from Cullberg Ballet, amongst others.
