From 3 February to 3 April, we are opening the call for a new edition of the Banco Sabadell Foundation Awards, a recognition of innovation and research in the fields of Economics, Biomedicine, Science and Engineering and Marine Sustainability.

These awards recognize the most outstanding young research talent in our country and highlight the impact of their research on people’s well-being, in four categories:

– The Banco Sabadell Foundation Award for Economic Research, which is now in its 23rd edition, aims to encourage and recognise work in the economic, business and social fields that contributes to the analysis and formulation of alternatives that promote social welfare.

– The Biomedical Research Award, which this year will reach its twentieth edition, seeks to recognize the excellence and innovation of young researchers with extensive experience in the field of biomedical research and health sciences.

– The Science and Engineering Award, created in collaboration with the BIST (Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology), celebrates its ninth edition, highlighting the work of researchers in the field of mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering or earth sciences.

– The Banco Sabadell Foundation Award for Marine Sustainability, created in collaboration with Seastainable Ventures in 2022, seeks in this fourth edition to continue encouraging and recognising the work of scientists in the field of marine sustainability, in the sustainable exploitation of resources and in the regeneration of its natural capital. Especially, those investigations that show tangible evidence of their applicability and incidence.
