The Sampler Series, músicas de nueva creación festival, which we have been promoting from its very first edition, is launching its new season with 17 proposals, including 21 debut performances. The fourth edition of the festival will take place in different spaces within the city dedicated to contemporary art, including L’Auditori, the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA), the Barcelona Centre of Contemporary Culture (CCCB), the Antoni Tàpies Foundation and the Joan Miró Foundation.
One of the highlights of this year’s international cooperation comes from Vienna, with the debut performance in L’Auditori by one of the best contemporary music orchestras in the world, the Klangforum. Also, don’t miss the joint project between CrossingLines and the amazing vocal chamber ensemble, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart.
Octavi Rumbau is the fourth season’s guest composer, and is one of the best examples of the change in paradigm in current contemporary sound creation.
