The social transformation programme B-Value, promoted by the Banco Sabadell Foundation and the Ship2B Foundation, is entering its ninth edition and will give a one-off award of 15,000 euros for those projects that are rebuilding the social fabric of areas affected by the DANA flash floods. This award is part of Banco Sabadell’s and its Foundation’s strategic plan to continue working in the rebuilding of all the areas affected.
In fact, and given the impact of this devastating climate event on the social, economic and cultural fabric of the region, the Banco Sabadell Foundation is already including in its action plan initiatives that encourage the reinvigoration and the redevelopment of the region, particularly in its two main areas of activity: culture and talent. In that regard, work is underway alongside entities in Valencia to focus its current collaborations on these efforts.
In keeping with this commitment, the Banco Sabadell Foundation and the Bank’s Art Collection got involved at the end of last year in the Arts with Valencia initiative, in which through a charity auction of more than 100 works of art furnished by galleries, foundations, artists, photographers and the Bank’s own collection, raised up to 100,000 euros, which have been allocated to the rehabilitation of the affected region, through the Red Cross and the Horta Sud Foundation.
A one-off award for third sector entities that participate in the B-Value social innovation programme
“Following the terrible aftermath of DANA in Valencia and given that third sector entities have been very involved in the rebuilding of the region and the associative and business fabric of the area, we have decided to include a special award into our B-Value programme that contributes to restoring the region”, Sonia Mulero, Director of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, explained. This one-off award will be aimed at an entity in any part of the country that works to rebuild the affected region.
B-Value is a programme aimed at leaders in the social sector that work in non-profit organisations based in Spain, to help them develop projects with a strategic vision in mind and professionalise their value proposition. In each edition, the programme offers, over a period of nine months, training sessions, mentoring and strategic support from over 160 professionals, allowing social entrepreneurs to strengthen their business model and increase their impact. In addition, at the end of the programme, a final pitch is held, the Demo Day, in which the finalist entities receive financial prizes of up to 85,000 euros and pro-bono prizes from the programme’s partners, including specialised consultancy services and communication campaigns.
The application process for the ninth edition of B-Value is now open, and any non-profit organisation based in Spain can submit its application through the this link. You have until 16 February 2025 to apply.
