Our areas of activity focus on promoting culture and supporting talent by fostering initiatives in the arts, education and research, creating shared value and acting as an engine of development within the country and society.
By supporting culture and the arts as an instrument of social transformation, we encourage creativity and innovation and we inspire people by providing opportunities and resources, promoting a more equal and diverse society, which contributes to its cultural enrichment.
By supporting education, we do our bit to boost economic, social and cultural growth of the Spanish territory, increasing productivity and innovation. We create learning opportunities and promote people’s talent to facilitate their access to the job market, improving their quality of life using an inclusive and comprehensive approach, and increasing their ability to make informed decisions.
By supporting research, we are investing in the future of our society and in its ability to find solutions to today’s most complex and urgent challenges, from health and the climate emergency to technology and energy.
We promote the collaboration with Banco Sabadell’s Human Resources team to facilitate the involvement and training of employees as volunteers of the Foundation’s various activities and initiatives. In 2022, 120 mentors took part in our programmes, bringing the Foundation closer to Banco Sabadell’s employees, involving them in our activities and strengthening their contribution to society.
Mentors’ involvement in these programmes, in addition to generating social impact and promoting a sense of belonging, contributes to their career development and overall training. They are programmes that include previous training for employees to understand the ecosystems in which they will offer their skills. The activities they mentor encourage the development of their own creativity, as participants from various disciplines and stakeholder groups (young people, vulnerable groups, artistic fields, etc.) are involved in them.
We underpin our programmes and collaborations on social commitment, gender equality and environmental requirements, in keeping with the Sustainable Development Goals defined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda, taking into account those established as priorities within the Bank’s ESG framework for action, Sabadell’s Commitment to Sustainability.
