The CIDOB-Banco Sabadell Foundation Dialogues, which took place yesterday evening at the head office of CIDOB, formed the setting for the delivery of awards in the first edition of the ‘Global Talent Programme’ jointly promoted by these two institutions with the aim of fostering young research talent, through a paid research posting and two awards for applied research.
The event was hosted by Pol Morillas, Director of CIDOB, and Miquel Molins, Chairman of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, who, during the ceremony, both highlighted the spirit that gave rise to the ‘Global Talent Programme’. Pol Morillas framed the programme as part of CIDOB’s global strategic and institutional commitment “to foster young research talent and, at the same time, recognise quality research in the international arena, at a time when society is demanding more in-depth expertise”. For his part, Miquel Molins affirmed that “the CIDOB and Banco Sabadell Foundation ‘Global Talent Programme’ is based on our commitment, as a foundation, to the talent of our young researchers. Investing in training and recognising their research work is fundamental to achieving progress for society”.
