–World Press Photo Madrid 2018: you can visit this exhibition until November 4th, to see the very best of photojournalism at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM). More than one hundred photographs show some of the key events from last year. The winning photo is of a young man in Venezuela engulfed in flames, by photographer Ronaldo Schemidt.
–DOCfield, Barcelona’s Documentary Photography Festival, will be holding 23 exhibitions that will invite you to reflect on love, in addition to other activities including guided tours, audiovisual screenings, meetings with artists… Until December 9th.
-‘Verni’ is the new installation brought to you by Espai 13 at the Joan Miró Foundation, created by artist Lara Fluxà, who examines the imaginaries of accidents and catastrophes, as well as their links to knowledge, the economy and power. It will be open to the public until 6 January 2019.
-‘Ángeles Marco’ is an exhibition that brings together a selection of sculptures, drawings and previously unseen material from throughout her entire career, including since the year 2000. The exhibition is open until January 6th 2019 at the Valencia Institute of Modern Art (IVAM).
-‘Habitar el Mediterráneo’is another exhibition brought to you by the IVAM. Here you will be able to see a mosaic of images, with works dating back many years as well as contemporary art. You can visit the exhibition until April 14th 2019.
-‘Bartolomé Bermejo’is an exhibition that displays the technical virtuosity and suggestive visual universe of Bartolomé Bermejo in all its grandeur for the very first time. Bermejo was an artist from Cordoba who spent his professional career working in the lands owned by the Crown of Aragon. The exhibition will be open until January 27th 2019 at the Prado Museum in Madrid.
-‘’Estructuras de identidad brings together 200 images to show how photographers from different cultures and periods have used this technique to affirm or challenge social stereotypes in relation to gender, social classes and nationality. The exhibition will be open until February 17th 2019 at Foto Colectania in Barcelona.
-Exhibition of dioramas at the traditional Christmas market in Madrid’s Plaza Mayor, which will be open until 31st December.
