Schubert’s music makes it all the way to Vilabertran

Until 2nd September, the Santa Maria Canonica in Vilabertran will be hosting the 26th edition of Schubertíada de Vilabertran, a festival which pays tribute to Franz Schubert.

One of the aims of this year’s edition is to showcase the value and importance of talented young musicians, singers as well as pianists, such as Matthias, Christoph Prégardien, Sarah Connolly and Bernarda Fink. Sopranos Katharina Konradi, Lise Davidsen-who has sung with the Vienna Opera and the New York Metropolitan, as well as Natalia Labourdette and Mercedes Gancedo, will also be performing. Sopranos Mojca Erdmann and Anna Lucia Richter will also returning to Vilabertran to sing.
