Schedule for the weekend of 15th June: art, music, theatre…

-On Saturday June 16th, the Royal Botanical Gardens will be holding ‘Proyecciones en la noche’ (Night-time screenings) by PhotoEspaña, with visual artistic proposals.

-The music cycle ‘Las Piedras Cantan’ will be bringing you a concert this Saturday at the Casa de la Moneda in Segovia from 9pm.

-‘In memoriam. La quinta del biberó’, with La Kompanyia Lliure. You can watch the play at the Teatre Lliure de Montjuic in Barcelona, until June 30th.

-’La luz negra’ (Black light), an exhibition that shows how a number of secret traditions have influenced contemporary art since the fifties up until the present day. The exhibition will be open until October 21st at the Barcelona Centre of Contemporary Culture (CCCB).

-‘Against the tide. Half a century of Valencian female artists’, recreates the path that Valencian female artists have had to take to achieve visibility and professionalisation, starting at the end of the Primo de Rivera dictatorship and the Second Republic, continuing with the Franco regime and ending with the 1980s. The exhibition is being held at the Valencia Institute of Modern Art (IVAM).

-And this is the last weekend to visit the exhibitions ‘Paco Gómez Archive. The poetical moment and the architectural image’, which has over 150 images and other materials on display, such as magazines and periodicals, at the headquarters of Foto Colectania in Barcelona. And ‘The Odyssey’ by Bárbara Sánchez Barroso, an exhibition that uses travel as a metaphor for the search for oneself, at the Joan Miró Foundation’s Espai 13.
