From 19 to 25 July, for another year, Barcelona is hosting the Bachcelona festival which will take music by Bach into different areas in the city, such as the Palau de la Música, the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, l’Auditori, el Liceu o el Palau Güell, entre otros.
For a week the festival offers different types of activites apt for all publics, such as ‘Bach para niños’ (Bach for children), ‘Bach Magistral’ (Bach Masterclass) with the objective of bringing baroque music closer to even the youngest of audiences in a didactic manner; ‘Bach en movimiento’ (Bach in movement) though contemporary dance with Bach music; ‘Cubach’ a mix of carribbean rhythms with music by the German genius.

These are just a few of the musical proposals in the festival:
-19 July at 20.00 opening concert at the ‘Origen de la Gran Misa’ festival at Palau de la Música.
-21 July at 16.00 and 18.00 ‘Bach para niños’ (Bach for children) at the Recinte Modernistsa de Sant Pau, family show to discover Bach through well recognised performers.
-22 July at 19.00 and 22.00 ‘Back en movimiento’ at Fábrica Moritz, contemporary dance with music by Bach; ‘Bachmosferes’ at Patio del Museo Marès, meeting of artists and the public with a wine tasting session.
-24 July at 17.00 and 21.00: ‘Bach Doméstico’ in spaces which are revealed upon the purchase of a ticket.
-25 July at 17.00 and 19.00: ‘Bach en imágenes’ at the Filmoteca de Catalunya; ‘Bach en familia’ at the Recinte Modernista in Sant Pau.
