The role of Banco Sabadell’s professionals taking part in the social impact programmes that we promote through the Banco Sabadell Foundation is extremely meaningful, as it helps drive positive change in people’s lives and shapes our mission: building a fairer and more diverse society.
Recently, over 70 Bank volunteers have been collaborating in various high-impact social projects:
• 40 professionals from Banco Sabadell participate as mentors in the B-Value social innovation programme, co-created with the Ship2b Foundation, supporting third-sector entities to drive forward and professionalise their value proposition. This April, the first in-person event was held in the form of design thinking sessions that took place in Madrid and Barcelona with the nearly 40 entities selected and the Bank’s volunteers.
• 10 mentors take part in the Special Intervention Plan for Youth of Valencia, led by Fundación Princesa de Girona, in partnership with the Banco Sabadell Foundation. The aim of the plan is to help rebuild the region and empower local youth through mentorship, education, entrepreneurship and the arts. The first in-person session was held this month at the Andrés Alfaro Secondary School in Paiporta, one of the most affected towns. The coming weeks will see the start of the online and one-to-one mentoring sessions.
• The 4th edition of the Mentoring and Talent Management Programme of the Technological Skills Centre of Alicante of Banco Sabadell and the University of Alicante just celebrated its last session. Over the course of four months, this project has brought together 24 undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students from the University of Alicante, each paired with a mentor, to tackle a technological challenge designed to help them develop key skills for their professional future.
This kind of corporate volunteering not only directly impacts the beneficiaries, but also has a positive effect on the psycho-emotional well-being of our volunteers, who comment on the happiness they derive from feeling useful, connected to their communities and part of a meaningful change.
Thank you all for sharing your talent with these transformational projects
