The purpose of the programme, which will take place over 4 weeks, is to achieve a validated prototype of technological products that provide solutions to different social challenges. A team of specialised mentors from the technological and social fields advise the dreamers on a daily basis.
We met up with our dreamer to find out her reactions to the Imagine experience…
What project are you working on in Imagine mSocial?
My challenge has been set up by the Provincial Council of Barcelona, and aims to improve social services that councils offer people, taking into account the experience of both the citizen receiving the service and the public worker that gives it.
What challenges have you set yourself for these four weeks?
Personally, I have set myself the challenge to make the most of the opportunity that Imagine and the Banco Sabadell Foundation have given me to learn as much as possible about social innovation and entrepreneurship, so that I can then go on to start my own project in this field.

When you sent in your video to become a dreamer, what were your aims?
I wanted to get out of my comfort zone… I had a stable job that gave me a fixed salary at the end of the month and the tranquillity that comes with it, but I wanted to draw new horizons as an entrepreneur.
Having made it through your first week, what has your experience been like so far? What has surprised you the most?
The experience has been great so far. I was surprised at the level of professionalism of the programme and the life experiences of each of the entrepreneurs who come and see us. All the staff and collaborators are 100% committed to helping us go beyond what we thought we were capable of, and I really love that.

On 27 May you will present your projects in the Congress Centre in Barcelona. How do you picture yourself when this time comes?
I hope that the solution that we reach is regarded as being useful and necessary by the organisation that has given us this challenge, and at the same time I want them to be surprised by it. Personally, I can’t wait for the adrenaline rush of being on stage with my two teammates, who are brilliant and with whom it has been wonderful to work with.
