To recognise the best young research talent in our country and to highlight the impact of their lines of research on the progress and wellbeing of others, this year we are once again calling for applications for the new edition of our prestigious awards:
The Banco Sabadell Foundation Award for Economic Research recognises the work of Spanish researchers in economics, business and social studies, to contribute towards the analysis and creation of alternatives to promote social wellbeing.
– The Banco Sabadell Foundation Award for Biomedical Research showcases the work of young talent in the field of biomedical research and health sciences.
The Banco Sabadell Foundation Award for Sciences and Engineering, organised together with the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), recognises the work of young researchers who stand out in the fields of mathematics, chemistry, physics and engineering.
– The Banco Sabadell Foundation Award for Marine Sustainability showcases the work of Spanish scientists in the field of marine sustainability, the sustainable use of marine resources, and the regeneration of their natural capital.
During the same period, the following calls for applications will also be open:
– Research grants: 15 grants for scientific research to be awarded to aspiring PhD students of Spanish nationality, intended for the promotion and development of scientific work or placements, preferably in the fields of economics, business or social studies.
– Anfaco Design Award – with Cecopesca and the Banco Sabadell Foundation: a competition which recognises and fosters creative talent among young designers. The winning design will be printed for one year on the sleeves of tins used in the “Cata la Lata” campaign, which aims to encourage people to eat more tinned fish and seafood.
